Blacking out texts ??

Hey guys,

Is it fine to black out texts that I'm sending as an evidence for our genuine relationship?
So I will only show the date and exact time of each text and paint the text content with black? My spouse doesn't feel comfortable that others read our chats even if it was the officer studying our application.

As you've been living together for a few years, there is no need to even include texts.
 
Thank you for your reply, yes we have been living together for 2 years and half and have been married officially for 2 years and 3 month, but our marriage is not standard so I'm adding as much evidence as I can. It is long story that I'm willing to share if you like to read it and give me your opinion.

Is there some way you can show the date and time without blacking out the texts or showing the texts? For example, with emails you could just show the inbox without having to show the actual emails.

I would not black out text. Maybe a few lines here and there. It would be better to send a selection, choosing only those your wife would be comfortable with the officer seeing.
 
Blacking out text may look suspicious for cic in my own thought, but can choose carefully what you send ;)
It's what I did for our application, printed everything, read and removed the pages that we didn't want cic to look at.

Cic wants to see really boring texts like real couples have. Go get groceries, talking about insurance etc. real life texts. Anyone can have love talks!

What I did, screen shot our conversation from fb msg and iMessage including dates , couple msg each month , love and fighting messages lol Of course didn't include kinky convo even some pics.

Is this true? I am struggling with going through all our chat history! It's basically the last thing I need to do before sending our application and I'm dreading it. If we have been living together for 2 years, and married this last spring, how important are chat logs?

They are not important at all, and probably not even needed.

We had also been living together a long time before applying, and didn't include a single chat, email or phone log. We just stated in the app we communicated every day in person since we lived together.

Texts with no text to read in them are pretty useless IMO. If you don't want to show any text content, then not much point in submitting them at all as they will probably just be dismissed by the visa officer.

I sent our e-mails, facebook and chat logs in Vietnamese no translation.

I think they just want to see dates and if it corresponds to the duration of your relationship. They like to find missing time gaps.

But just think of them as doctors.
