My wife's birthcertifcate was issued by hospital , will it work or should we get in touch with Muncipal for the birth certificate?

UNAVAILABILITY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE
This is SINP reply/solution to solve this problem:-

got following response from SINP

Thank you for your inquiry.

If a copy of your birth certificate is unavailable you must provide a Non Availability Certificate from your country’s registry indicating that a copy of your birth certificate is unavailable and it should indicate a reason it is unavailable. When a birth certificate is unavailable, the SINP may accept two alternative pieces of identification that state the name of the applicant, date of birth and the name of the father and/or mother. Acceptable documents are:

- Education Documents with birth date and parent’s name;

- I.D. Cards (with date of birth and parent’s name);

- National Voting Card; and

- Family/Household Register.

Please note that we do not accept an affidavit or passport as birth document.

Kind regards,

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Mine is there, but wife's birth certifcate is missing. she has birth certificate from hospital . I am not sure if muncipal would be able to produce as it is a very old record.

I am concerned as Nova Scotia PNP is going to open soon.

What is the alternative for secondry applicant?

Thanks.

You can submit for her without birth certificate, I am sure CIC will ask birth certificate, it is primary document for any applicant

Better to apply the certificate to municipal, please check with them, I am not sure about municipal process
