Hi, quick question for anyone who’s applied for outland spousal PR.
I’m Indian (Indian passport), born and living in Qatar. My husband is also Indian, holds Canada PR, and lives/works in Canada. We got married about a month ago.
My name is X Y (X = first name, Y = father’s name) on my passport, marriage certificate, degrees, etc.
However, my birth certificate only shows X (no Y). No spelling difference, just the second name missing.
Has anyone had this issue?
Did IRCC accept a name explanation/affidavit, or do you think it’s better to request a name change/update on the birth certificate to X Y since it’s possible in my case ?
