Hi
I am waiting for my Bio letter, my AOR is 22 Jan. I would like to know from the people who have already completed the Biometrics and are in US on H1B or other Visas.

1.Did you make a appointment with USCIS ASC center? Or Walk in?
2. What documents did you carry along with you during the visit?
3.How much wait time from appointment book date to appointment date?

Hi Zeon,

Have you went for Biometrics in USCIS? I am in same position for Biometrics in US.
did you take appointment for Biometrics or went to USCIS center directly?
I called USCIS customer care, they said for Biometrics, no appointment required and suggested me to go directly with request letter from IRCC.

is this correct info or do we need appointment for sure?

Went for my Biometrics on 3/1/2019 to USCIS Detroit
No appointment needed, just took passport (current & old) along with Biometrics letter

There was no queue at all, I reached USCIS parking at 12pm and was back in my car by 12:08 pm.
I targeted to go between 11am - 2pm as this was mentioned as walk-in time in CIC website.

One more thing, my biometrics were updated same day in my express entry profile.

I got my BIO done.

I went on Mar 8 to Jacksonville USCIS with my wife and kids(they dont need bio but they are small so we took them)
Just took Passport and Bio letter. Went in there were no queue as hardly anyone there. It took us about 10 minutes in total for both of us. We went in 11.50 and back by 12.

this is the first time i went to a USCIS and came back without having any tension:)

AOR 22 feb
MEP 9th April
BIL " we need your fingerprint, check your message" 9th April

i checked my message and i downloaded biometrics instruction letter in my spouse name
and non for me as the primary applicant, should i be worried or do you think mine will come in later?
OR can i and my spouse use same instruction letter to get our biometrics done?
We paid the biometrics fee of $170

You may call and check with call centre or wait for couple of days as there will be different ircc numbers on each letters

I just been to Jacksonville ASC and they took biometrics without appointment.. Thank you all for the inputs..
Does anyone know how much time it takes to get updated in IRCC account

Mine got updated by the time i reached the parking lot of the Jacksonville ASC center. So i would say 24 hours it will be updated.

Hey guys,
Thought I could get some help from here.
We're in Detroit, and we had to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance (10/23, since we received our biometric request just yesterday). We are in America for Thanksgiving (10/14) and were trying to do 1 of 2 things:

1. Call USCIS Detroit and reschedule our appointment for any openings on 10/14
We just can't seem to get through to a live person to ask if there are any openings then; or
2. Can we just walk in with our documents and get biometrics done? I noticed this thread was only back in April 2019, so I don't think they have stopped walk-ins? Is it different per USCIS? On CIC a lot of the locations say "By Appointment Only"

Thanks a bunch in advance
