Biometrics fees refund

Hello , i applied my work permit for Canada from Australia very first time on 15 August 2020.Ottawa Citizenship and Immigration office deducted application fees from my account $255 but on 23 September i got a refund of 89 dollars ,May be it biometrics fees.Does someone knows about this why i got this refund ? Please help me. I applied very first time for canada immigration.

It could be medical fees. Did you pay for medical? Do people in Australia do medical?

Thanks for your reply, I am not sure that we need medical or not and i am not Australian citizen (on visa) . I just guessed it could be biometrics fees because it is $ 85 on IRCC website.

Good day! If I was refused a student visa without giving biometrics, can I get a refund from IRCC, I can't find refund link or in case of denial I don't get refund in any case? Another thing, do you know if denial of student permit to BC could lead to problem with provincial programs like SINP, Atlantic , or EE altogether? thanks
