Biometrics fee for PGWP extension

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my Permanent Residency application and among the fees that I had to pay was Biometric Fee.

Now that I got this out of the way, I wanted to apply for extension of my Post Graduate Work Permit. It's currently set to expire in July 2021 because my old passport was expiring on that date and I'm eligible to renew it for another year or so.

I started the application for the work permit extension but now it's asking me to pay biometric fee again (obviously my biometrics will only need to be taken once). Also, according to this website (https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp) and based on my country of citizenship (Poland), biometrics are not required for work permit extensions.

Did I mess something up when filling out the initial questionnaire? This whole immigration process has already cost a lot and I don't want to pay more than I have to.

Any help would be appreciated! :)
