Hello everyone,
I am new in this forum.
So my issue is, as I have applied for citizenship and after applying I came back to India. And now I got a biometric letter.

so my question is, Can I give my biometrics in India at a designated Canadian visa centres or at Canadian embassy or Else I have to return back to Canada for it? Please suggest ! Anyone.
Thanks.

It can not be usual biometric letter it is a finger print request that needs to be completed here in canada at a police station or accredited finger print agencies. There are some agencies who accepts finger prints while u r abroad but i am not sure about procedure of that but it will take longer

Okay. Thanks.
So should I have applied this earlier or in advance before applying for citizenship like I did for getting the police clearance certificate from India ?

You can’t do it until you get a request. As it had to be sent to your local office (normally decided when goes In Process) and with your UCI and stuff which isn’t normally available until you get AOR (tends to match PR but they won’t be expecting it so likely shred it).

Plus, only ~20% people get one. Though seems almost everyone I know personally has!

Did you get the letter via email or regular mail?

Thanks for the information everyone.
But do everyone get biometric letter for Canadian citizenship application or it is just in few cases? I mean is it required?
