Credit Card,
Debit Card (this is a new information for most that one can also pay using the Debit Card)
and the Demand Draft are the three most common methods of payment.
Demand Draft is considered the safest method, though people also doubt that the DDs take one extra week before the payment is made, as compared to Credit Cards.
Credit Cards are a safe mode for payment,
just make sure that the card has enough validity period... (it usually takes 3 - 4 months after you have sent your application, before your payment is made) and that you have informed the Credit Card company that so and so payment will be made, and they HAVE TO ALLOW the Payment.
CIC is a renowned body, and there are no frauds if you give them your Credit Card information, banks don't ask for the passwords etc when they make the payment and hence it is up to you to chose the method suitable for you.
ICICI is fine, but you need to have an account in the bank from where you get this Demand Draft made.
Also, the branch must be a FOREX dealing branch.
