I don't have a job in India. My last job was in UK back in June last year which I had to leave as my visa was expiring. I am not married, no kids either. Are parents or siblings considered as family ties?

No, these really aren't ties.

So if refused ties may be an issue. You need to show a reason to return to India. How old are you? If single, your parents and siblings aren’t ties & reason to return.

I applied for a couple jobs where the employer is providing LMIA. They asked me to come in for an interview. I told them I'm in India at the moment which is why I was rejected. Do you think If I come to Canada on a visitor visa I can find a job with LMIA without much difficulty and get a work permit?

you weren’t refused because you couldn’t come for an interview. You were refused because you didn’t have the right to work in Canada.

No offense, but just imagine if you got your PR through any of the economic pathways, that will be a big slap in the face to those masters/PhDs with years of skilled work experience, let alone those who are trying hard learning French just for a few extra points..
