You need to understand the difference between a cousin and an uncle. Your father is not your wife's uncle. She is his first cousin once removed and her mother is your first cousin once removed. You and your wife are second cousins.

She needs to write their relation to you, not to her. Include a letter of explanation if you think it is confusing.

Lol that will be so awkward my wife calling my dad cousin. Sorry but I guess English language have messed the way it describes, how my wife mother cousin is also my wife cousin, and this once word "removed" is even more confusing. I am pretty sure even immi officer will scratching his head.

It would have been simple if they would just keep it as Uncle and Aunt.

Ok so, in plain English what should we put in Relationship column for my father in Question above. First Cousin?

The English language hasn't messed anything up. They are cousins, not uncle and niece. They are also not first cousins; your father and her mother are first cousins. Putting either of those would be wrong. The immigration officer will not be scratching his or her head.

If you don't want to put first cousin once removed, put mother's first cousin.

Thanks thats what I am trying to do.
I will just hand write PA MOTHER and PA MOTHR'S COUSIN (SPONSOR FATHER).

I think that should be fine.

Ok, now that brings me to another question here. Below question is asked for PA
Do you have any relatives (including aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) living in Canada?

So as per above discussion above that my father who is My wife's 1st cousin 1 removed, does that mean PA has to include my father and his children in above question section?
Because that means all my (sponsor) siblings, including me will be my wife (PA) second cousin. Correct?
