Hi

I want to hear experiences of those who applied under CEC express entry without the letter of reference from employer. My employer has a policy that they don't issue letters or interfere or assist employee get their PR. I have been working as a licensed Chemical Engineer in Canada. I will be attaching the pay slips, offer letter, job posting (contains duties), t4 forms, CRA notice of assessment. Do you think that this documentation would be enough or am I setting myself up for a refusal? I would like to hear from those who were successful (or not) under similar circumstances?

I have seen people when they do not get letter for employer, they get notarized letter of reference from their colleagues.

First things first - any time you cannot give IRCC exactly what they ask for, you have to provide a letter of explanation, and proof (for example, written refusal from your company to provide the letter).

Without this letter of explanation, IRCC could simply conclude that you didn´t follow directions and failed to provide a complete application.

All of your documents will help. Don´t forget to include a copy of your engineer license with your employment documents.

The main problem is confirming the job duties that you actually performed after you were offered the job. If you can get an unofficial letter from a manager, colleague, or client attesting that you are performing the duties you are claiming, that will help.

Thanks for your response! Attaching the license is a good idea.
