My understanding is eligibility is assessed up to the date you signed the Citizenship application. Leaving Canada after that will not impact the number of eligible days for your application. However, it's probably advisable not to leave Canada for extended periods of time since you will need to be in Canada to take the Citizenship test and then take the oath so you don't really want to be out of the country when you get the letters for those.

It's also possible that CIC may contact you for further information regarding your application, possible residency questionnaires etc, so you don't want to be out of country for too long.

One thing to note - if the date you accrue the required 1460 days is 18th June 2016 - you will probably want to leave it at least a couple of weeks before applying to give yourself an eligibility days buffer. A friend of mine got citizenship recently and he applied with only a couple of days in hand. They made him complete a residency questionnaire and he had to send in a bunch more documents included color photocopies of every single page of his passport.

So waiting a couple of weeks to have some days in hand, might ultimately speed things up and prevent your application being delayed with CIC getting more residency information from you.

Good luck,
