Hi im in liveinCG from philippines. I am an RN (2011)in my home country but no experience. I want to work as LPN after ny LICP so i started the assessment process. I wanted to be an RN here in bc actulaay however i know i need further study if i have my papers assessed by crnbc. I am thinking if it is better to have it assessed now as well? So if ever i pass LPN, i can work as LPN at the same time continue education for rn? I am so confused right now i would really appreciate any advise / enlightenment. Am i just gonna waste something if i have it assessed as well (rn) , should i wait til i get experience from LPN then apply for RN assessment?

HI EVERYONE!

I just want to ask the following... I hope someone can enlighten me :)
I'm a new comer here in Ontario and has a spouse sponsorship application with initial approval of permanent residence & a open work permit already. I was assessed by the CNO and was referred to CEPHEA for the IENCAP exam.

1. What was the referral for? Does it mean I have to pass the IENCAP exam before I can take the CRNE?

2. I have been waiting for the availability of the IENCAP exam for almost half a year now and due to the high volume of examiners all dates are currently full until JUNE 2014. The last time I tried booking for the exam (online) it only took several minutes till the registration was completely full. Can I just take a bridging course instead? If yes, how? I believe that you need a letter of assessment from CNO (i do have one but it says I was referred to CEPHEA for the IENCAP exam)

Thank you :)

Hi,
Yes, you should pass this to be eligible to write CRNE. If you fail, you must complete the list of courses they give.

Hi hmisabpk

Need your help to clarify my confusion.

I am a graduate nurse from India. I want to apply for Canada PR under FSWP 2014.
NOC 3012 is perfect for me but its moving very fast for cap full.
Can I also apply under NOC 3233 as the job duties are more or less the same.

Please reply

Regards,

For CRNE Exam Prep:

Check in this library you may get the RN exam review books.
http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/detail.jsp?R=LIB018

You can also barrow or buy the book from private book store. You can search used books on kijiji.ca for used exam prep guide books.

Many institute and agencies are helping in exam preparation.

Check the following links, and books to prepare for RN exam:

• Canadian Registered Nurse Examination Prep Guide, 5th Edition
• Mosby’s Prep Guide for the Canadian RN Exam, 2nd Edition

The NCLEX-RN licensing exam is a national registered nurse licensing examination. The exam is to test fundamental competencies that are expected of a beginner registered nurse in Canada.

Thanks for answering but I have another question, does that mean even though he recently just passed the exam and is now a USRN, he still need to write the NCLEX in Canada?
