Hi everybody,

I started working in BC since mid Sep. 2013 after my graduation in NB. This is my first job. Now after 6 months temporary employment, my company offered me a permanent offer last week. My original idea was to apply CEC in Sep. 2014, but my friends started sending my these ideas that I should go for PNP which I can apply it right now. So I'm a bit confused.

Should I go for PNP now or wait for CEC?

I had a 36 months master program in NB. I hold a post-graduate work permit now. And my current position falls in the A class on NOC.

Really need some professional advance or real-life experience now. Thanks in advance!

Go ahead with CEC as it is faster than PNP these days.

Just realized in CEC there is a req for 1 year exp, Would it be still faster to apply in CEC versus PNP?

If I was you, I would apply for PNP now and put my application in asap. Why wait for another 6 months.

Now - Hope you know that your employer should be willing to sponsor you for PNP if you are applying under the strategic scheme !!

cheers

6 months is a significant time difference.
If I was in your position, I would apply for PNP.
CEC and other CIC programs are modified on a monthly basis so you have no guarantee CEC will be available for you in 6 months.

If you don't mind the extra fee, you still have the option for applying for CEC while you PNP application is processed.
You will have to pay double application fees.

Thanks @roadtocanada2014 and @shuki for responding to this post.

Do you know if it is ok to change employer while ainp is in progress? provided it is not an employer driven stream eg. AINP SRS Engineering or SRS Post Grad? In these it is allowed to apply on own without the help of employer. I'm just thinking of options so asking such silly ques :) Do you have any hint about it

As long as your PNP is not sponspred by an employer you are fine to change jobs. Also, your work permit in that case would be an open one !!
