Hopefully I can get it before my visitor visa expire (2015/4) otherwise I don't know what can I do!
- extend the visitor visa again if possible, or
- back home and wait (I really don't want to give up)

I read from other posts that now is processing the batch of 23XX....mine is 40XX....look like still long way to go, after they changed the processing time, i think (only i think) it will make those need to continuously work for 9 months got difficulty.

Finger-cross that it will not affect our batch and we will have good news to each others soon!

Hi Zacknling,

If your on a visitor visa I believe you can extend it for another 3 months. You just go to the border and take your paperwork and explain you are waiting on PNP for your results.

You should be on implied status while you are waiting for your visitor visa.

We applied in August and are 49** we are having to give up our jobs for what looks to be 5-6 months with the current processing times and planning to go back home while we wait. It's a tough situation to be in. Good luck with your application!

I can see that it is difficult situation for everybody till PNP comes through and the question is IF it will be a positive answer
what we are all hoping for...For me it will be 2 months and a half now since AOR...My work permit expires in a week so I have implied status because I applied for a visitor visa. My current program doesnt allow for extension...

I have to live on my savings for the next couple of months...My representative didnt warn me on this situation at any point of time...

Hey bro ;D

I am using CIC website, updates online and this forum, nothing else.
I was even thinking to apply for Experience Economy Class, but my employer is not willing to pay additional costs.
The only thing is waiting time now....I hope the answer will be till January 22, which is maximum 6 months from the AOR in July.
That 8-9 months applies for those who got that message in the mail, not for us who got 5-6 months, at least I hope so!
Its also hard and impossible to find another employer to change jobs, since they do not want to apply for LMIA.

yes its hard to find good employer these days... the only thing will be wait... at the end i hope so the waiting time will be even for us as express entry will fast track our pr application by only 5-6 month , so that will be a good thing for us as comparing to them who are applying today

Hi CanadaPC,

you said you have applied for visitor visa. When you'll get you bcpnp approved, would you be simply apply work permit extension online ? Actually I read in some other forum, that after visitor status, work permit will be required to be applied from outside Canada. Is that true ? if yes then is it possible to just go to US border and change to workpermit if someone do not have a US visa ?

Hi every one,
I did apply for bc pnp under skilled worker cat. on july 21st.
Got my AOR mention 5_6 months times till decession making...
now processing times again changed to 8_9 month.
will my application be also effected with new time frame or it ll be ressolved as per written on my AOR I.e 5_6 months.

Hi Ninfo

I asked in federal gov, I was told that I can do it from Canada since it is changing the status inside Canada. In the worst case you could go to Vancouver, so far I know immigration border is over there and cross the border there and enter Canada again. But you know, once PNP gets approved (hold the tombs up) I would go where is necessary just to demonstrate happiness and patience for waiting so long

I can see that your AOR is from June, so hopefully soon you will receive decision? I am now as a visitor, last week was my last week at work...now waiting for deicision, just hope it wont be longer than january, because my savings will be gone...

Most of us apply under skilled worker and obviously you are under business immigration, so the number is different.

Hi Zakling

do you think we have to wait for 5-6 months since AOR or 8-9 months?
For me it seems like you just need to wait for one email, and you dont know when it will come..
It could be next month, in two months or 4 months....
I am currently looking into going back to work on the cruise ship while PNP is in process..
I need to pay my bills and food somehow...
Very uncomfortable situation for the high-skill experienced individual....
