Dear If you are the principal applicant and you had applied along with your wife, then you can show yours and your wife account bank certificate. They dont accept your father account.

i dont think they accept that.bcoz there is always a possibility::if ur father revokes authorization or attorney then who will bear this loss?

(You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you).this is written on cic website

consult with seniors also

all d best

Request your parents to keep the money as FIXED DEPOSIT in your name.

Request your parents to keep the money as FIXED DEPOSIT in your name.

Tell them you will return the money before leaving for Canada.

@PRATIRAJYA,

To your question of showing father as joint holder, "yes". I did that as most of my savings were with my father and myself being the first holder. The only thing you need to ensure that is you would need to provide a notarised authorisation from your father that he has no objection if the funds are withdrawn by you at any point in time.

This is what i did and my GCMS shows "Funds met"

I hope you don't mind me asking. I have a similar question. My money is in 2 separate bank accounts. 1 in Canada and 1 in my home country. I have a TFSA account in Canada with $7500 at present but the amount 6 months ago was $3450, so I believe that this is the amount that counts towards proof of funds. In my home account I have $9000 however that accounts is a joint account with my sister and her salary goes to that account, the current balance is $42000 (including my $9000). Is there a way for her to indicate that $9000 of this money is mine, an affidavit maybe? Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks!
