Me I'have applied in student direct stream process for the study permit , I sent my application and my biometrics the 27 october. and today for the first time I have the 502 message Error

I was able to sign in during the day a couple of times but currently it gives me a Error 502 message as well.

I don't think there is a relationship between having this error and applications' progress. It is just a technical problem, or the website is under maintenance.
This seems to happen twice a month. Middle of the month and end of month. That kind of lines up with those who have to do their bi-weekly EI reports. There are loads of people on EI so I wouldn’t be surprised if the government sites are going down.

Employment Insurance. All workers pay in to it and when unemployed can apply for economic support. The CERB (or what ever they call it) run on the same system.

Yes, I concur, there is no correlation between the 502 Bad Gateway and any change in application status. Unfortunately!
Even I am facing the same issue . Any idea how long would it take to get this resolved ?
It can take anything from minutes. up to a few hours. Best you find something else to do and be patient in the meantime.
