Background checks.

What all entails a back ground check, isnt that the same as a police check? how long do they go back, and what are they looking for that takes such an amazing long time.

Apparently they check a lot. In my case it has been a full year since they started the 'standard admissibility checks'. Mu husband had the interview abroad on Feb 10th 2009 and to this day we are still waiting. Usually it takes a few months unless you are me
