just asking a few questions out of curiosity...
what exactly constitutes the background checks?
when we say the visa office is doing background checks, does it mean they are checking the authenticity of employer reference letters by calling employers? or is this about performing the security and criminal checks?
who exactly does the background checks? the visa office where you submit your full application or some other canadian agency working on behalf of CIC?
who calls the employers? any admin guy from the visa office processing your application? or the immigration officer himself responsible for your file?
for those of you who've been through this stage successfully, did your manager tell you what conversation he had with the immigration officer when the immigration officer gave him (your manager) a call about you?
regards
