Background checks; recently updated and does the processing of P.R application affect applicant''s e

My backgrounds updated on Friday (October 6th). It stated 'we have started your background checks and we will send you a message if we need more information'. Prior to this it used to state 'your application is in process, we will send you a message when we start your background checks'. What does this mean because I've only known for them to go to 'in progress' and then 'in progress' again after briefly showing 'not applicable'?
I am also a little worried because I declared foreign experience from Feb 2007 to August 2018, I got an iTA in March 01, 2017 and AOR on April 13th 2017. As per my stream it says work experience must be acquired within last 10 years. My 10 years are done in August of this year since the inception of my stated work experience. During August my application was being processed and I was also asked further documentation based on my declared work experience which I provided in time. Please provide your informed opinion with regards to the technicalities of this situation.

You mean Feb 2007 to Aug 2008? I'm guessing this wouldn't matter if the Work exp was valid at the time of submission.

If your cumulative work experience between 2009 to 2017 checks out, and add up to the years of Canadian/foreign experience for which points are claimed, you might be in the clear.

Yea you're right my work experience is from Feb 2007 to Aug 2008. Also my work experience in Canada is NOC B, however it is not for consecutive 12 months hence none of that experience is factored in.
Based on your reading above, where do you think my backgrounds stand?

Hey Wollyking, you might have better responses if you joined the thread for AORs issued in April 2017. Lot of people in your similar situation might be able to throw light on processing times and statuses.

If the work experience you claimed was valid at the time of AOR, this might not be an issue. Someone more experienced in these matters can correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I have seen a number of threads where additional documentation, even if sent within the specified timeframe can take about a month for your VO to resume processing of the case.

Can I ask you a question please? Can you please share the timeline of events starting from the date of submission of final application to getting medical exam passed status to background check completed and passport request?

I had submitted my file on the 29th of September and on the 14th of October I got a confirmation that I have passed the medical exam. So I want to know after how much time will I will be getting the passport request for Stamping?

Your help in this matter will be highly appreciated.

That makes sense why after supplying with the requested documentation, the process was stalled. I called IRCC this week; they said all assessments have been completed aside from security, they are not sure how long it takes to clear but this is the last step before final decision and I can expect a decision anytime.

Medical passes June 28th, 2017
Request to upload schedule A with residential addresses July 04th, 2017
Day when schedule A uploaded; July 07th, 2017
Request for further documentation to substantiate stated foreign work experience; August 3rd, 2017
Date background went to what looks like an IP2; October 06th, 2017
Still waiting for request.

That's great to know. I believe you should get the request for passport in this week.

I too got the status updated to Background check - Not applicable. I think it is IP2. Hoping for the PPR request to be initiated this week.
