You are right. I did my Medical in October 2010 and the last email that I got from CHC london mentions that Background checks are still underway. They have two thing, security check and background checks. If you see the threads from Qorax, you would have more insight into the whole process mechanism. I hope you all the best.

Yes the checks continue even after meds, specially in ND CHC that I have noticed

I have heard they don´t do Work Experience Verifications for every single case as there are so many applicants. I am in process since last november waiting for MR and my Ex- Exployers have not been contacted yet. It´s very difficult to guess what and when they will check if they do so.. :-\

Yes unfortunately, we've seen so many cases which had similar experience. We've just discussed this in another thread. I believe that CIC should only ask for medicals once background checks are concluded. This is to save people time, effort and money.

Agreed. I hope there is no investment related hidden goal. Imagine how much money inflows CIC gets from almost a million applicant a year! Over a billion dollar!!! More delays, more interests!!!

I didn´t read it.. didn´t see it.... : ;D. With all the respect CIC deserves, I personally, don´t understand them. Too much bureaucracy...

Lets hope for good news SFD, but for real i have noticed those who get visas and ppr , these days are from 2009 group of applicants. lets hope we will all go through this 2011. It just goes to confirm the news by Nectar that ChCs will focus on fast track applicants this 2011.

As I am a 2009 applicants, the horizon seems good then.. However, I think a lot about the Backlog Group whose situation is very sad; waiting for many years and still don´t get a PRV.
