Friends,

I need your advise. MR request sent on 10.04.15. I undergone medical checkup on 11.04.05. Medical reports delivered to destination on 15.04.15. It has been more than 30days past but still neither second line update nor 3rd line update in ECAS.

My medical report has no health issues. According to the statistics Paris VO has average of 17-18days from Medical request date to 3rd line update(medical received) and then the usually add 2nd line update in between the 1st and 3rd line. In my case it exceeds average in two times.

2weeks ago I asked them to confirm the receipt of my medical file at least via email and their reply was "your file is still in study". What I do not understand is what these guys are studying if there are no health issues?

What can be the reason for such delay? Do we have anyone with similar case?

can you check with your doctor for any medical issue with any of your family members?
Your VO is lazy, some times they forget to update or there might be any medical issue. Still Don't worry it happens with many of applicants, not only with you.
Pray for your early Medical lines....

but no inquiry at my work yet and no MR email.
Do everyone get inquiry/verification at work, my NOC 2172,
plz share abt ur inquiry.

work inquiry is not necessary for everyone only 10% applicants work is verified or if they found any fishy item in the company or experience certificate.

I have a big doubt .. Are background checks done before the second line update or after .? or does it depend on the VO.?

BGC...
1st Document BGC, which is done before eligibility passed, if eligibility passed then Security BGC started which may take time.
where is your case.... simple guess.

I think this is not the health issue as me and my family members are regularly going through medicals checks. What I assume is that they are checking my background information. It may be a reason for a such long delay.

As I understand from explanation on the first page of this forum if these guys are pushing Medical Received button in ECAS this means Stage 2 (BFD2) which in its turn means that background check is finalized and they started security checks. I think by some reasons my background check is either delayed by VO or the agency which is designated for background check.


Do we have any additional information about the way these guys are running background check besides calling or sending emails to employers? Do they use agencies for these purposes?

Hello Friends and Seniors,
I wanted to know that after the second line was updated on 30th Oct 2014 and the additional documents for my new born baby are given on 16th April 2015.
Does this mean that the background check is completed and also when can I expect a MR.

Dear nekeol, according to my gcms eligibility not started but security started so do they start security checks before eligibility is not started, i have been waiting since july2014 when they asked additional documents forms,pof,pcc.

yes they can start any thing but if they r writing elgibility not started, but actullay it is started they r verifying your documents from university etc

AOR from Colombo- 6th Feb 2015
MR - 19th March 2015

After my MR i received a letter of concern from Colombo VO on 23rd March 2015. They wrote that from some source they got to know that my spouse have visited Canada twice on visitor Visa and once this Visa was applied from USA. Moreover they also stated that my spouse's family configuration is different from what is stated in the application. And most shocking thing is that they wrote in the letter that I have applied under PNP whereas i applied under FSW.

All these concerns were wrong I sent them all copies of my Spouse passport and also all documents like Rashan card and a letter from local Counselor with the details of family members.

I raised a CSE last to last week and they wrote me that I case is under review with an Officer, in case they need more documents, they will let us know.

I see people from October started getting PPRs but I am still waiting.

Kindly suggest what should I do. This wait is Killing.

many times issue rises from the name duplication and same date of birth. possible your spouse name is matched with other same name who has visited Canada and who has applied under PNP. they have their own GCMS systems where they can find all info related to any visa applicant at any time within last 10 years.
don't worry u didi great, just keep following them and keep passports copies ready to prove that you or your spouse never visited canad aor usa.
it will delay your case but they will clear it as soon as they realized the case. nekeol

My Time is on the Left Hand Side.

File in Process Since 16th December 2014. After that nothing

My Consultant raised CSE and got reply that background verification going on by third party so cannot provide time frame as to when processing shall be completed.

I applied for GCMS which i got in May that too, Visa officer Notes and Activity section blanked out under 15(1) and 16(1)c section of Privacy Act.

As i am led to believe by several persons that, this means background checks are underway so thats why GCMS notes certain section blanked out.

Its very frustrating, dont know why such a long period for Background Check.

Does anybody have idea why it it so??
