Dear Qorax

I hope the word change of plan doesn't have a negative connotation on my case, if I am right, they are going to resume visa issuance till January 2013.

Which is your Visa Office ?
Did they return your PP?

I have SECURITY: 1, CRIMINALITY: 1 AND MEDICAL: 1 under the Admissibilities section of my GCMS notes. I read elswhere that this means I passed security, criminality and medical assessments.

But why do I still have Security: Not Started, Criminality: In Progress in the statuses. Is it just that they "forgot" to update the status, or the security and criminality tests are not really completed ?

The CAIPS codes do not apply to GCMS notes.
If it is stated in the GCMS notes that Security not stared or Medical not started that means as it is "not started"
Careful how you read the GCMS Security : 1 means it is the first step in security verification , it is not the code for passing.
Somewhere you will finte a step that says that criminality "not started", and another step for criminality "in progress".

Dear Qorax,

In a reply to my CSI, I have received the response from my VO as such:

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.
This is in response to your request for an update on the status of your application. We do our best to make sure everyone who has applied to immigrate to or visit Canada is provided with effective and efficient service. We receive an enormous amount of correspondence daily. Although we would like to respond to all of it, we recognize that it takes resources away from processing applications, which leads to longer processing times. As a result, we do not provide detailed replies to applicants requesting a status update on their application. Please wait to hear from us.

I did my medical in early week of July and waiting for PPR. I would be very grateful if you please comment on the above mail from VO and explain what really they mean by Please wait to hear from us. Are they due to take sometime to issue PPR or what else?

Dear all

I am a pre-June applicant (MI-2) and my Ecas Status is currently showing in process with date, I was requested to submit
my passport and to do medical. After I submitted my passport I received this email a reply to my CSQ which says Due to
Operational Requirement we will resume visa issuance for FSW applicant in 2013.

I received this msg by the time I was expecting my pp back with visa.
