Hi qorax

Recently I sent my pp & RPRF to NDVO. I am now in Europe and did my medical with DMP here itself. But the DMP has sent my medical report to London instead of NDVO; because the country I am currently living falls under the juridiction of CHC London and London VO will forward to NDVo, according to the DMP. Now, I am a bit worried with the situation.. I ve menioned this matters in my cover letter to NDVO while sending PP and rprf. Please advise me what should I do beside this?? Can case specific enquiry work??

My VO was NY but my report could have gone to NDVO directly instead of Ottawa.

Dear friend

thank you very much for ur kind information. Now I hope my medical report will not be missed on the way. I live in Denmark from where Canadian consular and immigration services are not provided. one has to go to CHC UK for. That is why the DMP might have sent the report to UK VO.

I sent my Passport to NDVO through DHL. it took just 2 days to deliver. please share now how long time should i wait for getting passport back??

dear forum members my friend took IELTS through AEO but he cant achieve the required points, my question is can he appear through British Council after one month of AEO IELTS?

My meds received on 8th of march and my status updated one month later but still I have not received my ppr, it seems to me we have to wait from 3-6 months for ppr
Best Regards

dear Qorax,

Is it ok to enquire about your app direct to Visa officer (LVO). Because it is almost 6 months past they did'nt reply since Dec 2011.

Back ground check

The Chair:
We have finished the first page, so we're going to start all over again.
I'm going to ask one question first. I'd like you to tell me the difference between the security screening for temporary applications and that for permanent residency applications, if any.
Mr. Pierre Sabourin:
The security screening for temporary residents is for people who are coming here temporarily. The security screening for people who are permanent residents is for people who are coming in here permanently. We now have service standards for the temporary resident side. They're very different from those on the permanent side. I can elaborate more on those, if you wish.
The security screening is to make an admissibility decision based on specific areas of the act, IRPA. We're looking at whether there are reasonable grounds to believe, whether the individual who is applying is permanent or temporary, that the person might pose a risk to national security, such as espionage, terrorism, war criminality, or organized crime. In one case the process is much longer. It takes about eight months right now.
The Chair:
Which one?
Mr. Pierre Sabourin:
For permanent, it takes about eight months. On the temporary side, just over the last few months we finalized the service standards. For a VIP or urgent request, it's 48 hours; for China, it's five days; for what we call tier 1 countries, which includes Saudi Arabia, India, Haiti, Pakistan—there's another one missing—it's 10 days; and for the other countries, for tier 2, it's 20 days.

Hi,
Does it mean that we have to wait 8 month till our background checks are done?

Dear Mr. Qorax,

Few weeks ago the address in my e-cas was back but instead of my lawyers address, they put my residential address in Saudi Arabia. The problem that the regular saudi post does not deliver to residential address, it has to be mail address (PO box).

I am currently in process since February 2012 and waiting for my medicals. Do you think they could posted my medicals to my residential address or they would use the address that is registered in my application?

Should I worry and contact London Visa Office for this issue?

Thanks

If it is true that it takes 8 months as Mr. Pierre Sabourin says, then how come several people are getting PPR within 2-3 months after medicals and people like me are waiting indefinitely. This means there is no policy as such, some say 3 months, some 3-5 months, another few under 6 months and now 8 months >:( >:( >:(
