Thanks qorax. That means RMO will upload reports in CAIPS/GCMS which will trigger some notification to CIC Ottawa and they will review the file before giving final approval. When can I expect to have 'medicals received" added to my e-cas and passport request? I am in New Delhi and my VO is New york. I will have to find the best possible way to have my PR visa stamped.

Best regards,

Vermas,
Hi. Did you DMP provided you the tracking number for the MR courier? Mine DMP has declined to provide me with tracking number saying they don't provide it for Canada Immig. Is it normal? Now I have no way to track when it would reach ottawa.

Thanks.

Dear Qorax,

A.Please tell me if CHC said "Your case undergoing background checks" then it means it is security checking(FIA, Interpol etc) or background (Employer, education etc) checking ?

B.What is this checking in short after Medical done...(Employer,edu etc) or (criminality) ?

Please reply....

Regards,
Khan

A. If that statement came b4 meds, it'd be ur b/g scrutiny. If it was post meds - it's about security.
B. Assessment about ur 'non-threat' to Canadian security, stability, politics & overall well-being.

Qorax

The instructions said to send medicals to Ottawa, but DMP said they have hanldled similar cases in the past and rechecked with NDVO before sending my medicals to them. These would be uploaded in CAIPS/GCMS at NDVO and will be visible/ accessible from any mission.
Cheers..

Hi Vermas,

Just noticed that you said "DMP has forwarded reports to NDVO yesterday"

Is that the instruction in your medical request.. as mine went to Ottawa direclty.

just curious.

Thanks

My DMP is only two kilometers away from NDVO and send these by hand. I called up to confirm dispatch.
Your DMP should should give you tracking number as you must have paid extra charges for it.

Best wishes,

-Blank = not yet looked at
-'0' = looked at but not yet assessed.
Typically both remain the same for us.

MAY & EVI r the initials of VO's staff. 'May' to act now [after the IO had a look]; 'Evi' to review the file on 23/1/12.

My caips also has 'Microlocator' in this:

PAPER FILE SENT TO: MAY FILE BF'D TO: EVI ON 23-01-2012 MICROLOCATOR:

Does it mean my file is currently with 'May', and it will be sent to 'EVI' for microfilming?
or does it mean my paper file is with 'MAY" and 'EVI' will review it from filmed documents??

As per member 'jnathan', microlocator is like freezer. So am afraid if my case will get stuck. :'(
Do i have to worry? Its already 6 months since i sent my pp to ndvo

Also I have a line entered in my caips 'RFV Check'
Now what does this mean?

Also what is meant by 'file sent to ecu through registry staff?'

THanks again

Even I expect them to provide me with tracking #...they had promised me that during medicals..and now they said they don't provide it for Canada Immig...hope they sent it to ottawa only and not sent it to ND to save money on courier. I paid them Rs 2000/- extra for courier.

If he is not giving you tracking number, it could be reason. Where are you/your DMP located?

DMP is based in Bangalore.

I got my CAIPS on around 20 November 2011, my file was In Process. Mine was also sent to Microlocator with BF date of 22 Jan 2012, but got medicals on 4 Jan 2012, dispatched from NYVO on 21 December 2011. So Microlocator does't seem to be cold storage. It must be a location in each VO.
Most likely MAY is an assitant to VO EVI.
ECU is Economic Class Unit.
I am hoping RFV stands for 'Ready for Visa' (final check before issuing visa)

Best wishes,

How unsure r u that it might not be this way?

I am not sure at all- totally unsure that is.
I had been taking the words literally-
medical results have been received- received, kind of ..
.under scrutiny presently...and then in one of your posts
you mentioned that the line appears after results have
been seconded by ottawa

may be I should reframe my question ......are you sure?

Captain Qorax

would you please inform me if Syria is considered from the list of the certain countries that requires more background enquiries (additional working days to process) like pakistan and afghanistan

Thank you

Fro
