My aor date SEP 30th
Medical passed date Oct 30th
Immediately my background status changed to : your application is in progress. We inform you once we start your background check on the same day which is Oct 30th
From that I have no update on my application.
It's been more than 45 days and my background check hasn't started do I need to worry about it
And what is my current stage is it ip1 or ip2

Agree...although mine has now changed to ''We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information'' like @Payel_86 said not to worry till the 6th month is over. AOR 31st August 2018

Anyway, has anyone NOT received the mail on the status bar like me? Read on another platform that IRCC sent an email on it on the 7th but I have not received it.

It is pretty normal for status to not get updated.
It is best that you order GCMS notes to get a clear picture of your application.

You may but they won't generally reply now ... all the things move generally near the deadline ....

Hello, just curious do you have now your PPR, when did the back ground message changed? and how long it took over all from the bck ground message to change from your application in progress to we are processing ?
