Anyone has an experience communicating with Canadian Security and Intelligence office on the matter of background check: timeframes, stages etc?

Its all depend on the other countries & their system, (2-6 months)

It also depends on the NOC underwhich you apply
some NOCs BG check are done at a fast speed

Thanx for info. It is been almost 10 months now in my case, NOC- bookkeeper. My immigration officer said it goes smooth and I should not worry, just be patient. But nobody can give exact info: what stage it is on, even approximately. It is frustrating waiting in limbo..

Yes it's code 1231 come under code 1111 and 1111 in the list.

You really haven't grasped the concept of the "List of 38" jobs yet have you? You can't be performing the duties contained in a sub category of a NOC. You must be performing the duties of an accountant 1111 in the NOC not the duties of a bookkeepter 1231 to be eligible.
