Background check

could you please advise whether they always do the background check for those who was previously married? And what is background check like?

hi, the bg check is done almost for everyone, but mostly for ppl that had divorced, to make sure the one who sponsores and the sponsored are really related, not by money deal.

please do say more. who is ppl? money deal -you mean a contract marriage?
but people can make a contract marriage even being never married.

The background check is always done on the applicant. Always. The only difference is how in depth it is. Most are finished quickly, some take months and months. From what I understand, it's done for security reasons and I don't think being married before makes you more of a threat, so I don't think that alone would make it take longer.

Sorry for the delay. Mitamata is right being married before don't make you a threat, but the immigration office needs to know and be sure that you are relater to the person that sponsored you, hope you go soon. (ppl-people)

backgrounds is not to check if you are married before or not. Why they take so long depending on the types!!!

There are three types of background checks.

1. Fingerprints from all countries he/she has lived in since age 18. Proof of no convictions from Canada prior to submitting your application to Mississauga CPC, correct? if the applicant lived there for more than 6 months

2. Foss check which is only a computer check to see if any Immigration Officer has written anything negative about your husband or if any enforcement action was taken against him while he was in Canada if he/she lived there. Timeline two minutes.

3. CSIS or Canada´s KGB and their check IF requested two weeks. You could contact CSIS to see Visa office abroad has ever requested his security check/background check or if it is completed.

doe it mean that they can read all the info some Visa Officer wrote about the spouse after the visitor's visa rejection?

do they do it on the person who lived in Canada or who has never been too?
how long one should stay in Canada to get this type of background check on him/her?
