Background check after study permit approved

Hi there,

My study permit was approved in system in December 2020. As the current travel restriction I can not leave Canada and entry again to get the Study Permit issued in boarder, as well as a flagpole.

So I requested Study Permit paper via Webform on Jan. 25,2021. Today (Feb 16) the system shows "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information".

I just wondering are they start to check my background after the SP has already been approved? Or it's a somewhat system delay? Or that indicate to doubt check my documents before issuing my Study Permit paper?

Is there any possible to change their final decision on my study permit? How long will the background check process be?

If your final decision says "Your application was approved.", other status doesn't matter. They usually stay the same as before you got the approval.

Yes, I have my passport pasted Study Visa in Ottawa in Dec 2020. But I need the Study Permit paper still!
