bachelor appartment

Hi guys
Just a stupid question.
When someone writes bachelor apartment in the advertisement does it means u cant keep ur wife and kids in that room?

Bachelor apartments are very small (they are only one room - there is no separate room for the bedroom) and are meant for one person or two (a couple) at the most. It think it's highly unlikely that a landlord will rent a bachelor apartment to a family of 4. I believe it's technically illegal for that many people to be living in one room.

We are a family of couple + infant (1 year). Can some land Lord rent us studio. We have 3 bedroom house in Pakistan but 90% of the time we stay in only 1 room.

I am here in Calgary and i can help you people to share with me. you can contact me and i will send you the pics of the place. It is not very easy when you move with kids. the room and sitting room is furnished so at the beginning you can relax and settle down and then look for a bigger place The challenge is the first months. when you land most people do not want to rent to you because you do not have a job, so you can only sublet from another person. But i landed just like you are about to and found someone to help me also.

The place is in Sw and closer to down town. Superstore, wall mart and safe way , banks and public transport. That is the reason i took the place.

Bachelor apartment (also called Studio) usually is very small. Kitchen/dining/bedroom is all in same area. Usually not enough space to fit more than 1 person. A particular landlord may charge you extra to have 3 people in there (some landlords do that) or they may not mind, if you are ok with the small space.

You can hire a Realtor, like myself, to find you a bachelor or 1bdrm or 2bdrm apartment in your budget. You don't have to pay me (landlord pays my fees); my professional services are free for you.
