Do you mean that your visa is ready but you have a new born? If so if will not say that it is a problem but the VO will not stamp visa in your passport until a new settlement fee is calculated and medicals are done. This will eventually result in a delay. If you decided not to declare the baby and have him/her go through medical, you may not be able to sponsorize that baby in the near future. After all, congratulation on your baby.
Cheers,

better delay application for couple of months, add baby in your application. these two months will save you lots of hassle later on. Congrats for baby.

Inform The VO as soon as possible. You have to get a fresh passport of new born. VO wont give your baby visa on mothers passport. If you dont want to declare your baby in your application now, you will never sponsor H/SHE. Your process will delay little bcoz of Medical of baby.

You need seperate passport for your baby, have baby's passport ready and then send particulars to visa office with passport copy, application fee 150$, birth certificate. You will not have any problem.

Dear friend, I responding to your query assuming that you already got your PPR but did not inform your VO about your pregnancy and also that you are in a country where kids can not get their own passport and have to be included in their parent’s. If this is the case, here are some clarifications and my suggestions to your situation:
A: It is not too late to declare your new baby so together your family can come and experience the beauty of this land, however, you will need to do a couple of steps (see below) to make it easy for both of you guys.
B: Canada respects the way other country do business with their people and accept that kids be added in their parent’s traveling documents (passport) but having your child in your passport and make him/her go through the immigration procedures are two different things.
Steps to take:
1. If you already have or not your PPR: Contact CIC by case specific inquiry you let your VO know that you have a new baby and you would like to have him included in your PR procedure
What will happen?
2. The VO will stop your procedure (e.i if he was ready to send you PPR he will not send it at this time).
3. He will create a file for your baby and ask you for the baby’s pictures (4 if you are doing this from the US) and new signed settlement found form.
4. Once he got the pictures and form, he will send you a section A of the baby’s medical
5. You will schedule appointment with the DMP (same Dr. who did your medical). Baby will only need physical exam to make sure that he is normal.
6. The DMP will send baby’s medical to Ottawa for check up and Ottawa will give the okay to your VO who will send you PPR. This may take between 2 to six months depend on the VO.
Way to reduce waiting time:
1. Schedule and do baby’ medical with your DMP (DMPs have section A).
2. Send letter (new born in your family), receipt from your DMP and new signed settlement found form to your VO.
You will save waiting time for asking pictures and time for sending you section A.
I wish all the best to your family and hope that the new baby is just going to be another luck for you guys.
Cheers,

Hi, there is one option, I will try to find the link and will post the link as well. We are expecting expansion of our family in Oct-2010, I spoke to couple of people and searched online, there are two options
1) Wait for medical request from visa office,
2) Contact the DMP, someone told me they normally have medical forms and they can do medical for your baby. Am not 100% sure about this option as I didn't tried it but my wife spoke with DMP in islamabad Pakistan he said they have forms and they may be able to do that, because he said may be its a concern for me.

No matter which option you choose your case will be delayed a bit (2-3) months. If your country issue a machine readable passport then you need a passport for your baby (normally valid for 2-3 years for infants). Countries without Machine readable passport don't issue infants passports. (you can find info about passport on Wikipedia). I sent an email to buffalo with my scenario they clearly said they will need infant passport; but you can send an query to Singapore office and they will respond soon as its not a case specific inquiry. Plus if you showed enough funds for two people then they will ask you for an updated settlement fund proof for three people.

As you haven't received your PPR request, your PPR request will be delayed till VO receive medical for baby, update family information, 4 pictures, birth certificate for new born and if required updated settlement funds. If you got visa and you didn't updated your visa office then you can't sponsor this baby to Canada as it's an offence of hiding information and your PR may be revoked on this basis.

Now, suppose if you get Medical request for baby in month time then expect visa office will receive this some where in Nov. then PPR straight after this process can also take 4-8 weeks so December or Jan then you may have 1-2 months to land.

but if this process goes to March then you and your wife will be ask to re do medicals.

If you are happy with 1-2 month landing time then contact the DMP, where you done your medical ask him if he has form A, but If am in your shoes I will try to delay it as I will never bring my new born baby into a -20 temp as it take us some time to adjust with this weather; who the hell baby will do.
