B4 or B4A which form to use- conflicting advice on forum for landing-URGENT

So the advice givenin the professional forum is to use

B4 (Personal Effects Accounting Document : Settler, former resident, seasonal resident or beneficiary) and excel sheets.

and the advice given on the family class forum is to use

B4A(Personal Effects Accounting Document (list of goods imported) (simpler form than B4 eh) and excel sheets.


WHICH IS IT? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ I am thinking of only doing the excel sheets for electronics, jewelries, gadgets but not clothes, toiletries, books, spices and packaged food.

Thats okay?
I highly doubt i will have any goods to follow.

Also if i am bringing in more than 10,000 do i have to full out a special form or just declare it on the usual form they give you on the flight?

Will be interested to see what other people say... my understanding was that you must complete the B4 form but it only has a limited amount of space so then you can use the B4A with more space for the list.

I think if you get there without a B4 filled in you'll just have to fill it in on the spot and attached your other list (whether it is excel or the B4A).

But again - I haven't done it myself so that's just how I understood it.

The customs declaration form you get on the flight will ask whether you are bringing in more than $10,000 so you can declare it on there.

Are you carrying that in Cash?? Why not just do a bank transfer?

This is the one I used, but mine were goods to follow. If you have goods at landing AND goods to follow then just fill a form for each.

I had separate (and detailed) lists of every box, bin and item that wouldn't fit in a box and the customs officer told me I could just summarize/categorize things on the form and then put values on the categories.

pills..like vitamins, prescription drugs like birth control ( i am bringing 3 packs since I cant go to a doctor for the first three months), acne prescription drugs am I declaring these or will it fall under toiletries?

You don't have to list toiletries/cosmetics or medicines for your use ( or for your family use) what you carry with your checked baggage. List only if you have any valuable items for which the price is higher than what asked in the "embarkation form". In general the "embarkation form" what you get in the flight is enough if you answer the questions on it.
