Oh my goodness, don't get anxious already, this could be a full 12 month process!
Our application was received on Jan 4/19 and we paid for our biometrics in March. My husband just got the BIL on October 28th after the file was transferred to the local visa office.
Some files are done early and others are done later, so all you can do is try to relax and wait for IRCC's instructions. Good luck!

Thx - I hope not, but I know that's what we have to aim for. it's been a lot of delays for us, from our agents, etc. We applied in July and I was hoping to be together for Christmas...which is fast approaching. I guess I have to put that thought in the back of my mind.

This process is definitely an exercise in patience because there is a lot of waiting and hearing nothing from IRCC. Fortunately, we are both retired so I have been spending time in Costa Rica with him, back in Canada now.
