Australian applying for working visa with criminal charge

Oct 9, 2019
Hi all thanks in advance for taking the time to read and reply to my question.

2 months ago I was caught and detained for having two mdma pills at a music festival and was sent to court in my home state (Queensland, Australia).

I went to the magistrate and he essentially laughed it off and wondered why the officer even charged me, the magistrate gave me no conviction and sent me to a 1 hour drug diversion seminar and that’s the extent of it. No criminal record and I entered into a recognisance drug diversion program and that’s the end of it. But in regards to applying for a Canadian working visa and entrance into the country is the fact I was charged with no conviction going to deny me entrance? Thanks again.

Also I understand how stupid it was of me to do what I did, I realise what a fool I was but hindsight is 20/20 so I would appreciate not being told how stupid I am.
