Applying after 2 years is not an issue as long as you’ve lived in Canada for atleast 5years prior, I believe. You’d also have to account for the number of days you spent outside the country and add those days to when you because a PR. So, if you became a PR on 24th of April, 2024, but spent five days outside of Canada, then you want to apply on 29th of April, 2026 (provided you’ve been here for atleast 5 years before becoming a PR as that counts as 1 year towards your citizenship).Hello, just need some input from you guys. Out of everyone whose application is progress and did not get returned, is there anyone who applied after only 2 years as a PR with the rest of the time filled by their PGWP status AND had a trip or trips outside of Canada? How much extra days did you give? I’m eligible in a month. Became a PR in April 2024 but I had a couple of trips outside Canada since then. When would you advise me to apply for citizenship? Thanks.
Goodluck.
