My last update was Jan 19 (LPP). Called ircc today. They didn’t really give any additional info other than that all my assessment is done and my processing office is Vancouver.

Is there anyone who waited more than 34 (calendar) days between LPP and ‘oath scheduled’ update?

There are people whose lpp is Feb and got scheduled (by vancouver) in 2 days after that to a Feb/march ceremony…

They keep scheduling people whose completion dates are before me and the ones after me (end of Jan to feb).

I wouldn’t worry too much because yes it is just the last stage, but I have a work related travel to Europe end of May (which is not so soon yes but I need to know if I will have to apply for visa, and I dont want to go through the VFS pain if it wasn’t necessary in the first place—it’s like already almost impossible to find a visa appointment that you have to check the booking system like crazy).

Similar thing happened to me with PR. Everything approved, had exactly same timeline with a friend (same location too, Calgary that time). Then his pr card came in the mail in 3 weeks whereas mine came in 5 months.. and I had to cancel an important work travel because of this. It’s not even about how simple your case/file is. My everything was approved and i waited 5 additional months somehow stranded in canada for no real reason. When i called ircc at thattime they told me everything was ok and there was no problem in my application and that there was nothing i could do. (And yes i was kind of stuck in canada during that time because my status changed and my visa was automaticallycancelled so if i left i wouldnt be able to enter back, and yes there is some other thing youcan apply in this situation but it didnt make sense for me since my stay would be very short and clearly they wouldnt even process that application in time either, then i could get stuck in some other country which is worse).
I'm also waiting for oath invitation. July applicant and LPP was completed on Jan 21... no update since then :(
@sseda Did you try emailing them to request scheduling an oath?

Somebody rang my doorbell yesterday afternoon. When I opened the door, I saw an envelope on the floor on top of the mat outside our door. You all will never guess what was in the envelope ;). Yup! My citizenship certificate. It's lucky that I was home and that it wasn't raining/snowing. I shudder to think about what could happen if they leave it outside like that.

Anyway, I went to the passport office this morning and submitted my application for a new Canadian passport. When I get it on the 25th of February, I'll come here and post for the last time, and then goodbye to the Canadavisa forums, and goodbye to my Canadian immigration journey. Folks, can you guess when I first thought about immigrating to Canada? Come on, try and guess. Nope. Try again... Nah, you won't be able to guess. I first thought about immigrating to Canada in 2004. Here is a post I made in one of the forums when I got my ITA in 2020:

...................

My Canadian adventure is a strange story. 16 years of heartbreak seem to be coming to an end...

2004 = no job and no money (This is when I first started thinking seriously about moving to Canada)
2007 = job in eligible NOC but not enough money (everything else was fine: master's degree, IELTS, age etc.)
2011 = job + money but by then my NOC was not in the list
2015 = by the time Express Entry started, I had lost way too many points because of age and I had given up on my Canadian dream
November 2019 = I find out about the 30 extra points for French, immediately dive head-first into French.
September 2020 = Got the required result in TCF Canada and got the ITA.

Moral of the story: Never give up!

......................

And now, 22 years from the time when I first thought about it, my journey is at an end. The intervening years have been great as I have been fulfilling one goal after another. From hereon, things will keep getting better. Good luck, all!
Hi, Any update on passport?

So frustrating still no updates.

Happy for all the new Canadian citizens above, congratulations!

Waiting since January 13th on LPP. Wife’s BG was marked complete on February 6 but I feel like it was just a lazy officer who typed “complete” after it was probably done back in October with my BG.

Has anyone here requested to switch from an online ceremony to an in-person one? How much extra time did IRCC add to your process? A couple of weeks? An extra month?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people in Metro Vancouver.

From my own experience and lurking experience (haha), Ontario residents would receive a pretty fast date. Vancouver, I'm not so sure... They are quite notoriously slow in everything, so I don't expect them to be fast on this one...

Any idea about applicants from Montreal based on your lurking experience lol?

Hi everyone,

I applied for citizenship on August 1st week 2025 and received AOR on October 1st week 2025. Since then I have not received a test invite yet.

I ordered GCMS notes and saw that my file was referred to PS-RES (Program Support – Residence review) on December 10, 2025 for additional review of physical presence. My background check is completed, but language and physical presence are still in progress and test is not started.

It has been about 4 months since AOR and around 2+ months since PS-RES referral, and I am starting to get worried because I see many applicants with later AOR dates already receiving test invites.

Did anyone else have PS-RES referral and later receive a test invite?
How long did it take after PS-RES review?

Any similar timelines would be really helpful. Thank you.
I am in the same boat, requested GCMS notes two weeks before, waiting for that, too. No update after background clearance on 15th Nov.
