Here's my timeline, in case it helps anyone:

2023 Aug 05: application submitted
2023 Sep 11: application confirmation
2023 Sep 28: Invited for citizenship test
2023 Oct 06: citizenship test
2023 Oct 10: confirmation of citizenship test
2024 Jan 16: ghost update, changing all the processes to complete
2024 Jan 17: ceremony booked for Feb 22, 2024
2024 Feb 22: ceremony happened and I submitted the oath signed the same day
2024 Feb 23: I got the citizenship certificate by email

I wasn't called for an interview. Initially, only the background verification and citizenship test were shown as complete until the update on January 16, 2024. Then, everything changed to "completed," including the LPP, and the ceremony date was shown as February 22nd the following day.

Yeah no problem. As long as you can track your application at https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login, everything's fine. After everything is done, you'll be asked to create a IRCC portal account, but that's after oath and they'll let you know the steps in an email. So don't worry!

My tracker updated today and it says '2 new updates', but nothing changed there's just a star beside the 'Citizenship test' but it's still in progress? Is it just a ghost update???

Yeah when nothing changes and your last updated changes, then we call it a ghost update.

You'll see the real update in a day or 2. That's how the tracker system refresh is designed.

generally yes but not always. I've had two ghost updates that turned out to be nothing. So it may or may not change, but generally, yes, the updates come in 2 days.

They do make changes but they are things like verifying your information etc. so there's nothing to update on the tracker.

honestly I have no idea what’s happening. Like for myself usually LPP is always done together . But for my language was completed before and physical presence and prohibitions are in process. I don’t understand how physical presence can take so long.

May I say how frustrated I am with the whole lack of transparency issue here with the processing! Literally people applied in November have gotten their passports in hand! How is this fair?
