Hey guys
Not sure what's going on. I Applied for my citizenship Application in August 2023 and AOR a week after. everything happened so fast that I was able to do my citizenship test on the 26th of September, after which Test was complete, Background check was complete, but language, physical presence and prohibition still in progress. Last update was October 4 and no changes till date. I gave them a call in February and they said Everything seem to be fine and they would contact me f they need additional information and as long as it hasn't exceeded the normal time like which is 15months, then I'm good. Could anybody explain to me what could be happening? I have no criminal record and haven't left Canada since I arrived. My girlfriend started same time with me and got her citizenship in the 1st week of January. Why is mine taking so long?

I have same situation as you! Applied in August, got background completed in September, test done October 10th and since then no movements. So, six months passed after the test, it is so frustrating! I haven’t left Canada in 10 years, no criminal background, nothing. Ordered couple GCMS notes, called them and they told me the same as they told you! I don’t know why is it taking them so long, makes no sense at all! Which office is processing your application?

Mine is same case as you both. Applied in August. Nov test completed and passed. No updates since then. It's been 7+ months now.

I have the same situation. Applied in August. Oct test completed and passed. 27 Oct GU and no updates since then.

I feel like some of the August applicants are stuck apparently and people who applied after us have already been done with oath and got their passports! Few months more and it will be one year since we applied!! So frustrating

I feel like they are deliberately holding applications so the processing time average shown on the website is longer. This gives them leeway if someone wants to dispute it.

I’m a November applicant. Waiting oath date since feb 29. I don’t know what’s going on

I applied in August, my girlfriend applied in October, and another friend applied in November. They've completed their ceremonies and applied for passports, but I'm still waiting for the prohibition. Are they mocking us? I'm really frustrated.

so frustrating my neighbour applied in january is citizen now and when i called agent today he said 14 months is still october. so you are good. its so strange.

Another week pass by , still waiting for LPP office Vancouver , can’t believe how fast other people got it

10 weeks gone after completing LPP . Mississauga office . Nothing so far yet .
My wife applied on November and she got invitation letter for oath for April 10 - Scarborough office .
Unbelievable!!
