Usually they never reply to such emails. That's not to say that they have not noted down your request.
So how are people supposed to know if they accepted the request?

Also, it's not really a request, I can't attend at that time from within Canada so it has to be rescheduled

You just need to let them know that you cannot attend. Its understood that they have read the email, and in due course will give you a new date. When - is anybody's guess, could be few weeks to a year (considering Ukraine refugee crisis)

For your peace of mind, you can call them and make sure that they have received your request. Also send them a webform, although not needed.

That's not a great system. I've been trying to call them and it just says that they don't have any representatives and they hang up. Unbelievably bad from them

1 question - the citizenship certificate, does Canada post hand deliver it or drop it in the community mailbox ?
Drop it, and they even fold it for you. lol

how would the mailman know what it is?

If you sent them an email (replied back to the email) then you can assume they received it.

BG completed October 2021.

Citizenship test not even started yet, no updates since October.

How screwed am I?
My case is exactly same as yours. My BG was completed in October 2021 but no updated since then :|.

Update:
Application was finally closed yesterday (tracker was updated today).
I called IRCC just now to find out the status of the Certificate, and was informed that it was mailed out yesterday. Since I live few blocks from their office, hope to receive the mail by Wed/Thu. Will update once I receive the certificate.
Final Update: Received my certificate today :) As per the call center, and also from their reply to my yesterday's email, the mailing date was 7th March which matched on the postage too. Also it was regular Canada Post mail delivered to my mail box (and they did not bend it lol). The certificate was in some kind of plastic lamination-type cover for protection, which was nice.

With this, my stressful journey with IRCC concludes. And am I glad! At least with Passport + BLS the timelines are more-o-less defined. I had already scheduled my Passport appointment for Monday morning. Will update status on the relevant in-person thread.

I know there are many who are still in the waiting game, which is really not fair considering 2021 is going Sonic-speed. Please hang in there.

My complete timeline:

App type (single or # of people): Single

UP Request approved: February 8, 2022

Hello
Did anyone get any updates from Mississauga office recently? I start to believe the office is not working on any files from Aug 2020 applicants anymore :(
I did my exam back in June 2021 and since that I had only a ghost update on my file on Nov 2021 with no actual progress. If I send an email to the mail address that send me the test invitation will that help to accelerate the process?

Pretty much similar timelines here with Mississauga office barring the ghost update. I already tried reaching out to my MP twice, wrote to the CIMM, Minister and even the CTV news crew which is known to move files along but didn't hear a peep back from IRCC. IMO if your case isn't picked up within the standard 1 year 65% quota of cases they generally process to meet internal reporting metrics, it can take anywhere between 18-36 months. So better prepare for the worst case scenario here and if you hear back sooner - consider it a bonus.

On the 2021 thread I see many from the Jan Feb batch AOR have gotten their certificates already so its a lost cause for 2020 applicants I would say. But alas that's how red tape works anywhere. Optics matter more than fairness unfortunately.

Hello everyone,

My decision made was on September 28 last year. I am scheduled for oath on March 24. But I did not receive any email yet.
What are the next steps
Can anyone tell me when will I get the email?
Thanks
1. How do you know when the decision was made?
2. How do you know you are scheduled for oath on March 24 if you have not received the email?
