Ok I see, so if you knew you'd lose your citizenship in 2019, I guess you wouldn't have sent your application at all... Will it take a long time to finish all the business you have in your country? If you start doing it right now, it might be done before the ceremony :)
Just check your status every few days, and as long as you're not "decision made", it's ok!

Has anyone had to renew their passport while waiting on a test invite? I'm an August 2019 applicant and my status has been ''in process'' since December 2019. My passport with which I applied expires in April of this year, but not my PR. I'm wondering if renewing my passport while I'm still in the process of applying for citizenship could mess things up or cause even more delay. And if I don't renew, is it okay to stay with an expired passport until I get citizenship? TIA!

Canadian citizenship application doesnt have requirements to have valid passport. You can renew or avoid renewing as its not related to your current application process.
It is just depending on your travel plan next year before you get your Canadian passport.

Oh great, thanks! For some reason I thought that having a valid passport during the application process was a requirement. Thank you!

My application went into processing state 20 Nov 2019 and I just got my test invite yesterday. For those still waiting, hang in there its slow but it'll happen.

For anyone that has take the test, did you use your PR card for online photo ID? I noticed they say its valid to use but also say a signature is required. Mine doesn't have a sig, and based on what I've seen no one will have a sig after 2012 issue.

Can I use it?

You can use PR Card as its been listed as acceptable document. Someone in forum also has used it. No issues.

Hi this my status
Citizenship application
Single
Montreal, QC
Application sent: July, 2019
Application received: August 1, 2019
AOR: October 22, 2019
Application start for Processing : November 25, 2019
FP Request: Sep 1, 2020
FP Submission: Oct 7, 2020
Test invite:
Test date:
Decision made:

Finger prints(FP) Supposed to be delivered within 1 month but i submitted after 1 month and 6 days because I was outside Canada and I did it on my country of origin and send it to a company here to be authorized , when I called IRCC they told me they extend all issues from 1 month to 3 months due to the pandemic.

My question is to contact IRCC to know my status now as I see some people who applied after me and got the exam and the oath also or it is logic till now that I did not get the online exam and no need to call them.

I have another question what will be the situation of my PR as it will expire next may, should I renew it because there is a possibility also to travel to my country of origin the next period.

Thanks

Thanks

Right now IRCC is totally un predictable. Always renew your PR card on time. Im a Montreal applicant in Limbo for more than year.
