We started processing your application on November 27, 2018. it took 18 days between Aor and in process so it is getting slower.

Hi,

In what cases do they ask for FP?!

I was told by the lawyer that took them that it's either

- random
- your name matches somebody convicted of a crime in Canada
- you answered yes to one of the questions in the form that asks about criminality

I believe mine were requested randomly. It's $50 + HST. I used CII Fingerprinting Services Inc. very quick and professional.

My application was received by CIC on 23 Aug, 2018. I haven't yet received AOR till date, is this normal? (A friend of mine who sent his application a week later already received his AOR 2 weeks back)
Can I anyway check my application status by calling CIC or any other way? Please let me know
I cannot see an entry on ECAS as well.

You can try sending them a webform.. that’s what i did, don’t know if it helps getting my AOR since i just got it yesterday (app received aug 24)..

I definitely suggest you to fill web form and submit for the application status. It was helped me. I filled it and submitted on 26th, I received AOR yesterday and I see ECAS status today.

I did the same you did, i send them a web form. They told me that the officer i call on nov 21 2018 take a proper action on my application sending inquiry to Nova scotia. They said if i did not receive a decision before February 21 2019 i should call them or send webform. That's not fair, application has been received since Aug 23rd. Nd i need to be a citizen for the career am pursuing.

I think its coincidence. It doesnt work that way for everyone. My family applied last year and got AOR a couple of days after sending a web form. That didn't work for me.

Application received in Sydney on Aug 15, 2018. I didn't hear anything from them yet!!!

It is discouraging when a Sept 25 applicant gets AOR and August applicants are still waiting. I take consolation in the fact that there are still quite a number of people who applied before August 24 but are also waiting. This is similar to when I applied for PR. I was among the 'forgotten Buffalo applicants'. We waited for years whilst others who applied over a year later got theirs within 6 months. Such is life
