does oath invitation come by email or by regular mail? i have received everything else by email, but my friend who had her oath in 2017 was looking for her oath letter in her email and couldnt find it, so just wondering.

At my test/interview in Calgary, the interviewer said to expect the Oath invitation by email.

What do I get?
Free admission to museums, art galleries, science centres, national parks, marine conservation areas, historic sites, and more. As a CAP member, you also receive discounts on travel and free tickets for events and performances*.

When does my CAP expire?
One year from the date on your citizenship certificate. You can register for CAP at any time during your first year of citizenship.

How much does it cost?
CAP is a free program created by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship and our cultural partners.

We just discovered some fraudulent person has already used my husband's citizenship number to apply for a cultural pass. I'm wondering how the person came by the number because besides CIC and passport office no one else had access.

if you choose option for email correspondent then you will get everything by email including oath invitation as well.

I am still waiting too.... my PR expires in June also and hoping to go home to visit in December so hoping something starts happening soon. I got my email August 29th and online says it’s being processed since September. How about you?

I am sorry for correcting you. What will expire is your PR card not PR (permanent residency). You probably know this, but for some some other readers it could create confusion

Just came back from the test and interview. I passed the test (20/20) and the interview went well. The agent said I should receive the oath invitation between 2 and 3 months.

We are almost there.
