On December 12, 2018, you’ll see a progress bar for your Express Entry application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.

Though if the date will be like "your date of AOR + 6 months" that will be a joke lol
Exactly!! I was thinking the same thing! lol If IRCC is doing this just to reduce the number of calls, it's not gonna help either side! But if there's really a specific progression feature for each application, then it would be beneficial for both IRCC as well as the applicants.
For a second there, I was hoping that this is the Golden Email. I bet at least some of you felt the same way
I got this email too. At first, I thought it was the process bar showing application status, but it seems like a bar showing the time elapsed since AOR; but we all can count the time by ourselves, can we?
