August 2014 Citizenship Applications

Mailed App on Aug 1st and received by CIC on Aug. 7th. Now the waiting game starts. Hopefully we are done by March 2015. For work record I sent last two paystubs and a job letter. Just started working 5 months ago. My only concern is I sent unofficial transcript(original though as I had two) for a math course I did at Seneca for 3 months. I have a toddler so I marked NOT School Age. Lets see what happens.

I mailed my application earlier today via Canada Post (express post) and I got 1,104 days of residency.

I'm guessing way before March 2015. Some applications from April are already getting their oath letters!

Dont forget u cant leave Canada more than 6 months in a year or u can NEVER apply for citizenship

The 180 days is a touch cookie for the new folks. Earlier applicants had the flexibility of obtaining minimum residency days without worrying about the annual cap. Future applicants will have to plan things quite systematically or face huge difficulty qualifying for citizenship. My guess is, it will bring down the number of Citizenship grants. Not all PRs would find it easy to land and settle down right away.

My application was mailed on Aug 13 by Fedex and received on Aug 15. 1096 Residency. I hope we all get some news soon ;D

I had created an entry for August, guess I did not see this. Anyways, here's mine

Here is mine; Application sent 14th August- (Physical Presence- 1460 days)
