hi again kroovy. my husband likewise received an email on September 5 with same tenor as yours.Pursuant to the email that CIC sent us, they received our application last August 26. With regard to your query, i would say that for timeline and spreadsheet purposes the portion AOR received should have an entry of the date we actually received CIC's notification.in my case September 5.kroovy said:

We plan on leaving for Calgary this April and receive the Permanent Resident Visa there. My husband will enter Canada with a tourist Visa which lasts for 6 months, and if the application isn't ready by then, we will apply for a tourist visa extension.
