I did paper based in advance. They don't make any difference. I just had to send couple of emails to CIC Ottawa for them to attach medicals to my file.

I did medicals yesterday, sent Biodata form, paid RPRF and sent the receipt.
Waiting for the decision to be taken.
I emailed RPRF payment reciept as an attachment to "CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca" and "OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca".

Can anyone advise whether the same should be mailed to CPP-O. If so, what is the address? Thanks

ADDRESS

Dear First Name & Last Name,

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED AT THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT-OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

Has your family composition changed since our last correspondence?

· Have you married or divorced?
· Have you given birth or adopted a child?
· Do you intend to get married or divorced prior to becoming a permanent resident?
· Do you intend to give birth or adopt a child prior to becoming a permanent resident?

If any of these conditions apply, you must inform CPP-O immediately:
OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

You will be asked to submit evidence such as a copy of the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption certificate or a letter advising when and where the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption is expected to take place. Any new spouse and/or children must be added to your application and be found admissible to Canada before your case is finalized. Failure to declare additional dependants such as a spouse or children before you become a permanent resident could result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed under the Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission.

If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed below.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner are required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of 490 Canadian dollars. The RPRF is a separate fee that must be paid in addition to the processing fees that you have already paid.

Your visas cannot be issued until you have paid the RPRF for [1 or 2] person(s). Please follow the attached instructions and email your payment receipt to CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca . These fees are refundable if for any reason you do not obtain permanent residence in Canada.

Passport(s)

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as well.

Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.

Height and Eye Colour

We require confirmation of this information for yourself and each accompanying family member. Please complete the attached form “Biodata” and return it to us.

Photographs

You must submit two (2) recent photographs of yourself and of each accompanying family member that meet the requirements stated on this webpage.

I emailed the Ottawa office the following

"I have received the medical request on April 25, 2013. I completed my e-medical exam on May 3, 2013. I have not, however, received the request for the RPRF or the bio data form which are usually sent with the medical request. Can you please update me on the status of my application as Ecas still shows as "application received"? Also, can you please let me know when to expect the bio data form and the RPRF request? "

Their response :

"Thank you for your email.

The processing of your file is following its due course.

No action or document is needed from you at this present time.

Our office will get in contact with you regarding the next steps in your file, in due time. However, no precise date can be provided."

Not quite helpful :(. Still no RPRF request or bio data form. Ecas still shows as application received

Short answer - don't expect personalized messages to come from CIC. They have fixed template(s) and pretty much stick to it no matter what.

Long answer - I think there are two different operating procedures that CIC has. First where they send the MR, RPRF & Biodata request all at once and then the PPR at a later date once all those things have been completed/sent; the second is where they send the MR and and then at a later date (which can be in a few weeks to even months) they send the PPR, Photos, RPRF & Biodata request all at once. I very much fall in the latter category.

One slight caveat is that I paid the RPRF day before yesterday (May 15th and emailed the receipt to CPP-O's Cost Recovery), without CIC having asked for it (I got that request today, but as per the regulations, you can pay RPRF at anytime during the application process); though I very much doubt that it had anything to do with me receiving he PPR today. I believe after MR, the criminality and security checks are the actual hurdles that holds back progress. Now if you look at the PPR email that I've copy-pasted above, you'll see that they've seemingly asked for RPRF again; which implies that CIC sticks to a fixed template when it comes to sending us emails. In the June/July forums you'll see them asking folks for their Biodata form multiple times.

But no matter, I will package my Passport, Photos, Biodata form and another copy of the RPRF payment receipt and mail them all CPP-O's way the first thing on Tuesday morning; and then wait with fingers crossed. Good luck to you all.
