On the CIC website, I've entered the UCI number to access our file, and under status it says " Decision Made" - a letter has been sent to you on sept. 24th with decision//Application status - Application received *medical results received*

Hi Khodah- Is it showing the sponsors details in this bit? I have the same thing and believe that the 'decision made' refers to Stage 1 approval, this match the 'letter sent to you bit'. This status is just confirmation that you have passed the first stage and application has been sent to your VO.

Apparently the updates are patchy from this point onwards so I'm not sure if we will see it go to 'in process' or anything else- I understand we are unlikely to hear anything further except queries or requests for passports further down the line.

On my case we were sent a letter from CIC but it is nearly 6 weeks since approval and the letter itself has not arrived, we only found out this and our UCI number by calling the case processing centre. If you are passed the 65 days it may be worth giving them a call to set your mind at rest. We had been approved before the stage I had even began to worry about it as it turned out!

Yes, Still no snail mail or email from CIC. checked the email address and address on the forms and its all correct. my sponsor already called the cic hotline, they said that they send us already the mail and our application was sent to my VO (Manila) , unfortunately my sponsor forgot to ask the UCI number assigned to us. Up to now, he is still contacting cic-hotline for our UCI no., but no luck. i guess, all i can do is wait and pray. Thank you!

Hey everyone, new to the thread and was hoping I could get some info on my current situation.
The application for my wife was received on Aug. 15th 2012 and on September 24th, I received an email stating "I have met the requirements for sponsorship and that the application will be sent to the Beijing embassy. Now, we all know that calling the call center and attempting to get any information regarding anything is like pulling teeth. I've attempted to look up other forums on other sites regarding the " Decision Made" and have seen some negative comments, such as " Decision made basically means the application has been denied", and so on. To me, receiving that email and having it say its being sent to Beijing, makes it sound more positive than anything else. Im hoping that the other threads were based on PR's attempting to sponsor someone out of country and has nothing to do with Citizen sponsorship, like with myself.
I know this process varies between applications and not one is the same but i'm hoping someone here could shine some light on this situation and provide me with some good news.....heck, any information would be great. Explaining to my wife over the phone "Honey, I've called the CIC...again, but i'm not getting anything out of them so we gotta be patient", every night....kind of gets annoying, haha!

you have been approved for Stage 1, as a sponsor. The file has now been sent to your VO to go through stage 2. Congrats and now you wait....again : ) Good luck

OMG ! Am i not seeing this right or their website says they are working on September 12th applications, and processing time is now 43 days (down from 65) !!!!

I just called the Call Centre and our application was actually approved on October 16th ! They typed in my e-mail wrong and that's why i never got the e-mail they sent out! But oh my - what a relief ! I'm glad i called and thank you for the # again!

Reading some threads at best ecas is unreliable!! If it's your client ID - then your details as sponsor...it does say on there ecas is usally updated on a Tuesday so with your approval date probably your details will get uploaded this coming week.
