I was just replying to a post.

Basically, all your hard work is done before you apply i.e. collecting proof such as pictures, phone history, emails, chat, gift receipts etc, anything that supports your relationship.

But if you have any spousal sponsorship related questions, you can feel free to PM me :)

You know you can just send the application without the medical as it is going to expire anyways by the time they open your file in ISB for processing, so it would be a waste of money and time in my opinion. Once they start processing your file, they would request you for a medical and you can do it then. Otherwise if you do it now, you will have to Re-do the medical anyways.

I agree with you on this one Danny, but doesn't the checklist say they might simply return your application unless everything on it is sent in ?

Also, you said you might try to get your wife to come visit you? is a visit visa even possible while an immigration application is in process? I was told that's the easiest rejection.

Ok got it..

So the best deal would be to send in the application without medical and explain them that you will send it later once done..

24 months...iksssssss.....how you planning to stay away for 24 months ??? ;)

m fed up in 2 months.. ;D

heh, thanks for the concern kuku, but we actually live together in karachi.

which brings me to my next question.. does that affect the application in any way? Surely, I don't have to share chat and phone logs since we've been married and living together for nearly 4 years..

Keep at it :)
I'm sure they will get fed up of the phone ringing soon lol :)

I like your attitude essex! I'm beginning to feel that if I actually get to send in my application this month it would be from fear of otherwise disappointing YOU .. :)

LOL syedgj sorry hope you dont think im being pushy :)
Sending in our application was like running a race we really had to push at the end to get things in order.
My medical was the last thing that needed to be done and i hated the fact we had to wait for another person to get moving just to get a piece of paper,

I know what you mean when it comes to sending things off as proof of relationship. We have been together for 15 years, arried for 10 and lived together for 12. How many people communicate by email and letters when they live together lol.
Hope you get everything together ok :)

@syedj

So one of you are Canadian citizen. ..

you guys living together. Thats good..you can wait then.. :D

haha no worries there. I could sure use a little push every now and then.. my wife would especially appreciate the extra momentum given how lazy she claims I am.. ::)

about the documented proof - so were you able (or felt it necessary) to provide anything?

I know a couple of posters on here who didn't send the Medical with the original application and sent it after 10 months or so. This way their medical would be valid for 12 months when their file opens and they won't have to get it Re-done which takes time (add atleast 2 months from the time of medical request till ur results are updated in the system). But if you want to take the cautious approach then get it done now.

I didn't say I might try to get my wife to visit me. Instead I would be going for a visit as 99% of visit visa are denied when you have a spousal sponsorship in process.

yep, my wife's canadian by descent, although she hasn't been there in some 15 years.

and yes, we CAN wait, but its not like we have a choice. its mostly that we HAVE TO wait. CHC Islamabad takes is sweet time.. 24 months they say now!

We just sent what we had, bills with both names on, cards, pictures, holiday confirmations and just anything that showed we had spend the time together as a couple.
I only had 2 emails i just had to send what we had. I also wrote a letter explaining what i had sent and not sent thats all you can do really.
:)

If there was not much email/chat hisotry then its okay as you were not in a long distance relationship. Your marriage certificate is important as it would be dated 4 years back or so ? Beside that your wedding pictures, annivs pix, pix where both of your are attending events over the last 4 years, bank statements, ownership of the house/mortgage, utility bills, cell phone bill history, anything that have you and your wife names together would be helpful.
