I am curious as to how you figure 10 days. My wife has received her visa with date stamp of October 18th and I have yet to receive a letter from CIC-M regarding my approval of Sponsorship. I only found out by telephone call. I guess our government is doing cut backs to save money. Anyways congratulations yara

thats nice that you received it by Email..you would have waited for 10 more days to hear that ,if it was sent by mail

It is my trust on Canada post that they won't take less than 10 days to deliver a simple mail even within a same city!! ;D ;D

Hi, you are going through Vienna too? I am so glad we are not alone (I mean there is more Vienna-October applicants) ...I got my sponsorship approval on October 14. (Mississauga received app. on August 5th). Your app. was sent on Oct.8 or Miss.received it than?

how long it took for you to get this message " medical results received" after your sponsorship approval ? Does it mean that file has already been transferred to the VO ?

When I called CIC to know what the decision is after I got the update on website -- She informed me that stage 1 approval is done and then I asked her what does this statement ( medical result received) mean..She replied that it just means that they have all required documents and file will be transferred to VO by end of this week. But i really do not trust these call center agents !!

i was approved as a sponsor on Sept 9 and 'medical results received' was updated on Oct 15 (I know this because i check daily) After you are approved the application is forwarded to the VO abroad. By the way which country are you sponsoring your spouse from??

I got the " medical result received" message on the same day of my sponsorship approval (oct 20) .. So I should conclude that the file has been transferred to VO..

My wife is in India.. So the VO is New Delhi...

There are number of steps depending on the VO before you get actual visa.

File transfer to VO, PPR/interview, Background check if needed and then passport return with visa.

Hello August applicants, I was wondering if any of you are in Quebec?

The reason I ask is because in QC there is an extra step and once they approve me I have to send the letter from CIC with my QC application. Since I provided an email address will they only email me their approval? Or do they also mail the letter?

Do you think QC (MICC) will accept a print out of the email if we dont receive the letter?

Any help would be appreciated,

Did you called them? If not, you should call. If one of you is PR you should be able to login on ecas with client ID from PR card. They are working now on August 15, so I am sure you are approved by now.

You are right, I thought it is August 10 I am reading the date backward...Good luck!
