Thanks guys

@ indianocean

I am pretty sure your letter is on the way if you dint get an email by now ..

Mine was approved on Oct 20.. So your decision must have been made by now.. Just wait for a couple of days or give them a call tomorrow.. You won't get a satisfactory answer for sure but who knows calling them up makes them update your info on website as it happened to me.. May be it is not relevent and just a co incident but it happened that after calling them up in the morning I could see the update by the noon..
Appli was approved on oct 20 though!!

Thanks kuku :) I'll wait a couple of more days,and if I don't get anything by Friday I will definitely give them a call. Thanks again!

Hello Everyone,

This morning the CIC would only tell me my application was "in process" and nothing else even though they did give me my login number. I logged in and it said "decision made Oct 17th and letter has been sent Oct 17" but this could mean the decision went either way (the letter still has not arrived in Vancouver). I called back dying to know what the decision was as I feared it was a NO since they did not tell me over the phone so I assumed the worst and now they said it is APPROVED. I am sooooooooooooooo happy. Just yesterday, after keeping it together for so long, I totally started losing it so am so glad I called them. AND his medical results are already in! (Of course we did the exams back in June before our July wedding so I sure hope they are ready).

Step one done... now comes the long hard part! 3-8 months and my Mr.X may be here!

Thanks to all on this forum.

congratulations to all who got approved!!! and good luck to the rest! :)

this is sucks still nothing who else is waiting that sent there application aug 4 they recieved mine aug 4th i tryed calling got threw had to wait for 25 min and i was at work my phone died so i didint get a chance to talk to anyone. no news yet blows

@ayad

I understand what you are going through, and CIC call center wait time really sucks...First time when I got through today was after 7 consecutive attempts of "call later" message and then too wait was not over..I had to wait for 18 minutes...

Just try calling them tomorrow early morning when they start working. They might not be that busy that time.. they are supposed to answer your questions now as you are far beyond the normal processing time..

Thanks I hope so..

Sponsorship application says - decision made

Permanent residence application says

We received ......'s application for permanent residence on August 11, 2011.

Medical results have been received.
thats good news Kuku, that means everything is in order...i rec'vd the same message about medical results received and then about 3 days later my spouse received a phone call to come pick up his interview letter from accra, ghana, they also emailed him the same day! His interview is next month November :)

ya i will call them tomorrow morning what all information do i need with me, like health card,SIN, tracking number

@livin

Thanks..

how long it took for you to get this message " medical results received" after your sponsorship approval ? Does it mean that file has already been transferred to the VO ?

When I called CIC to know what the decision is after I got the update on website -- She informed me that stage 1 approval is done and then I asked her what does this statement ( medical result received) mean..She replied that it just means that they have all required documents and file will be transferred to VO by end of this week. But i really do not trust these call center agents !! :)

@ayad

All you will need is your client id and application date when they received it.. All other security questions will be about your address, Birthdate, Contact number, whether its an inland or outland appli and where your spouse is living at present. Thats all they asked me.

Ok.. Finally was able to catch CIC agent after a long wait..

She said that sponsorship application has been "APPROVED" and file will be transferred to VO by end of this week. ;D ;D ;D :D

that relieves me from upcoming stress to wait for a letter.. :) :)

@ essex

so you can update the spreadsheet now !! ;D

Congrats KUKU !!!!!!!!

thats very good news...

@ajay

Thank you

@ayad

Did you get through today ??

@all

A quick question

What does "medical results received" exactly mean ?

I got this update on the same day when my sponsorship got approved .

Does it mean that file is at VO or it is just a regular update ?

Appreciate your suggestions

thanks

Congrats to all of you who have been approved this week!

my ecas STILL says only 'application received' :( I am a little bummed out and keep thinking what if my application was lost and never made it to the VO? How annoying would it be to email the VO and ask?

Also, we're moving next month, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to notify Mississauga, or the VO, or both, and how is best to notify them.... urgh.

I would email and ask for the file number so you can submit your change of address when you move. Sneaky way of finding out, and then when you move, you'll notify the VO.

email mississauga you mean?

Nope, the overseas office. They're the ones that have (or will have) your file then, so they are the ones to give the new address to.
